    @WitchingHour I used to have an air brake endorsement on my license when I was in highschool. There is no age restriction on air brakes so I took an air brake course at 17 and had it applied to my regular driver's license. Now because you cannot obtain a class 1 CDL in Alberta without having air brakes, the endorsement no longer shows once you upgrade your license as it is implied that you have air brake certification. If I were ever to lose my CDL, my car license would be issued as a class 5 with a "Q" endorsement listed.

    Yeah, in Canada... had something similar when I had a South African E+C, as well. But I was referring more to US licenses, and the person I quoted holds a license in the US.

    Truck at my old company was an "antique" 2014, had one as well as every other truck in the fleet.
