I don't know if I will go any higher then general. That is if I get it. I still got over half of the book to learn.

Well, today was my day to serve as shuttle driver... Started the day with a phone call asking me if I could rescue a load that was running out of time some 40 minute from the drop... Sure, so I ran south 40 miles, swapped loads, and then drove north 40 miles to complete his drop. Easy start for the day.
Then waited a bit while I caught up on paperwork and then got a call to head to some town in OH, details to follow. Details came, 850 mile load to BH in Arkansas... Awesome.
But then, the QC went off telling me to swap the load with a training team. Oh well.
Some days are just like that...

Dang that was Good Food!!!!
If anyone doesn't know about Tamrack in WV, stop in and try the little cafe there... Awesome food... Safe to say you will NOT find anything like this at any Truck Stop.
It's on our Northern Route in Beckley.
Good place to stretch your legs too.
Well worth the walk across the street.
Stay Safe,
MDRocknroller4 Thanks this. -

Sounds good, did they give you any info on the Orientation process?. What to do when you get to Richmond etc, that sort of stuff.

They put you up at the LaQuinta a few blocks from the Yard... The hotel serves a good breakfast and they provide lunch. I hope you like Subway, unless Brian changed that from when Don was doing training. You are on your own for dinner and there are a few local fast food places that's walking distance or there are two places that the drivers order from a lot.
First day is normally paper work and some in house rules and procedures. Training on the CQ and how to communicate with it. At some point Bill will take everyone for their road test, a couple st a time. Tour of the yard.
Fairly basic stuff... Mostly easy, but do pay attention as that information might come up at different times for those going through the full training program. Say like during the tests at the end of each stage...
Keep us posted!!!
