    Yes, sir!

You're joking, right? I can't talk about Swift but you can bash the military? Grow a pair, don't be scared.

    Already hit on that.

    Again: Yes, Sir!

I'd buy him a cup of coffee, did the house blend finish brewing yet?

You gotta do what you gotta do, sounds like a good story. Should I be impressed that you make $20 to deal cards, I'm not. Sorry. Are you actually bragging about being lazy? And when did I claim to know everything?

Man you're bossy. I do have a negative history with Swift, I lost count of how many times they've had close calls with the front of my truck.

They don't. I didn't know 34 year old men could be such a cheerleader for company they haven't worked for.

Crap. This was a waste of time then, wasn't it. Go ahead, take your trucking company and go home so I can't play too.

I haven't really heard anything good, in person. I can't take face to face information from drivers, but I should be expected to believe the few good things said on here?

You remind me a lot of her.

    Wen782 Thanks this.

Swift is fine to work for. I'm a happy camper so far. Sure, I could go to JB Hunt now and make 4 cents more a mile, but I kinda like to run, not sit. Not to mention all their freight is on rails these days.

Seriously, Swift is a good company to start with. No forced dispatch (just don't get too crazy turnin down lds), hometime always on time so far. Pay is always straight and in the bank every Tuesday like clockwork. Miles are around 2500 average per week.

My DM knows me by name and I don't even have to say who I am when i call and he keeps me rolling and takes care of any problems asap. Never been forced to run illegal in any way shape or form and the loads are usually setup where you have plenty of time to deliver and in many cases, can deliver early. Only complaint I had with em was the piece of junk I started out with having all kinds of issues that many a mechanic couldn't seem to "fix". However, they put me in a new truck so what can I say now?

I promise you I'm looking for things to ##### about and lately, I haven't found much worth yappin bout. 10-4

I knew YEARS BEFORE I ever thought about driving a truck that JB and Swift sucked big time.
    Word gets around.

Spoke with a Swift driver, and asked if he liked it, he mentioned 'it is okay, i'd like more miles'. And the driver standing next to him simply said 'cause you need to go faster.' I know Swift trucks are set at 64, but they both said that Schneider was going down to 62. And another company was thinking of going to 55. I really see going to 55 (IF the interstate stays at 70) as a BIG BIG danger to everybody on the road. I am itching to get on that bus and head to Lewiston. I want to hurry up and get behind the wheel and start driving.

The castration of the trucks are not that big a deal if you run primarily east of the mississippi. The worst part about the castrated trucks are climbing hills. It sucks when you gain speed coming down but can't use it going back up because the governor won't allow any fuel until it comes down to governed speed.

I've noticed lately the four wheelers are going a lot slower and many folks are driving like granny on sunday mornin. When I first started it seemed as though everyone was passing me and now I'm passing a lot of trux out there.

hi all, this is my first post. i have been lookin' and trying to learn as much as possible.
i start cdl school next monday, cdl mill here in st louis. decided to pay for my cdl myself, to save from any problems owing a company for training.
the school recruiter keeps mentioning werner, but i have been leery after reading everything here. i also believe it is important that i learn to complete logs myself instead of relying on werner's electronic logs.
the school also has contacts with swift, but i am not sure
i have pre-hire letters from transport america and usa truck (also found from info on these forums)
i had a pov accident in 2006 so schneider and crete say they will wait before considering me. i applied online with roehl and have heard nothing back.
so, i am still looking and learning.
thanks for taking the time to read this, and any information will be greatly appreciated
