Believe it or not, we were at CRST (of all companies!...LOL)...and during the Christmas rush (November-December), we had weeks where we made $8,000-$10,000 after expenses but it's only because they were good paying Fed Ex loads that we were able to get back to back. They paid 70% and we ran under their authority. Now I know, that was not the norm. Most weeks, we averaged about $2500-$4000 as a team, but if it can be done there pulling dry van, I'm sure reefer is much better. I've pulled reefer most of my career but it was always under someone else's authority and always for mileage pay or some BS that didn't make me any money.

Are you really saying you regularly cleared 8 to 10k in a single week? Gross, sure. Profit? I don't believe that for a minute.

Sorry to be a smart ###, but she clearly said during Christmas season they made that, but it wasn't the norm.

And id bet the deed to my house they didn't make that during more than one, possibly two weeks, the entire season. One settlement sure, but what's being left out is some loads paid on that settlement were delivered the previous week, some fuel bought didn't come out till the next week, etc etc. Somewhere something was added to the pot that shouldn't be, or something was not taken or of the pot that should have been.

Honestly, if you're looking at power-only deals or exclusive contracts with a mega you may as well just lease on and not waste the time, effort, and money with your own authority.

There's a reason they do this. You assume 100% of the risk and overhead, and they make money no matter what you do. You can pretty much count on it not being a good deal for you. From what I've seen, these deals appeal to people who have basically failed running under their own numbers, and are too proud to give them up and just lease on somewhere.

Back to your original question, we have run a few Freymiller broker loads. Nothing special about the rates, no drama that comes to mind, and they paid.
