Lol....
Apparently they're spreading like roaches around my area, that's the first one that I've seen. That's why I think using drones is gonna be a no go. I can't imagine the sky's littered with Amazon drones everywhere.

As far as tractor trailer positions, you have to be a fleet owner with tractors ONLY, to contract dedicated linehaul work to pull Amazon trailers. So you would actually be working for a contract carrier, and not for Amazon.
Or you can also try applying for any position that's open at USPS. The information that I sent you doesn't just apply for PSE Tractor Trailer Operator, it also applies to every other position that's available as well, from letter carriers, mail handlers, clerks, etc. Each position at the Post Office has a class level. PSE TTO is a level 8 position. Expeditors are a level 7 position, and some of them make over $100k, so you can imagine what a level 8 career TTO makes.speedyk Thanks this. -
1) Would you need a van for the Flex thing or could you also use a car? (i'm not really asking for me)
2) How many tractors would you need for A to consider you? (This one i AM asking for me....)
3) what's an Expeditor at the UPSP office? -
Not positive, but I think they are using some subs for Flex. Recent A deliveries here (south of PHX) have been via OnTrac. Also noticed at least one national messenger company suddenly looking for a lot of drivers here and PHX. I looked into OnTrac at one point and I'm not sure how the drivers survive, even if they live in their vans. But Newegg already was using them and they are fast from SoCal, usually next day, so they would be a logical way to start for A.
If A is looking to cut costs, they would surely pay less than the vendors they have been using.Sho Nuff Thanks this. -
BTW, i just re-read one of the earlier questions:
If you had a beard before UPS bought us out, then you get to keep it irregardless. You're grandfathered in. If you did not have one or have started working here post-buyout, then officially no beards, but some terminals basically allow them. -

2. I couldn't really get any information on this other than what I was told, so I did a little research and only found this...

3. An expeditor is in charge of shipping and receiving. -
I've already seen the impact of what Amazon's contract with the Postal Service is doing. It seems they realized that if mail is going down, the logical solution is to increase package delivery instead. Our docks are now nothing but packages. I hardly pickup mail that much nowdays, it's basically about 80% freight now, from my experience.speedyk Thanks this. -
Just for the halibut I sent Flex an email mentioning PHX, the reply stated that they don't have anything there yet. Sent one for Las Vegas, same thing, but they are a little automated sounding, it's like dealing with a bot.
