Fella, with that attitude....you would be doing all of us a favor by NOT GRADUATING. You must think you are only good enough to teach those that were born with a Silver Spoon in their mouths.

    tonycr and insertnamehere Thank this.

I quit for 9 months before I went crawling back.

Unfortunately there are not a lot of other options out there that will pay $60-70k. I'd have to start off on a whole new career track and it would be quite awhile before I'd even be back to where I am now money wise. The real issue though is that I really have no other aspirations or interests in other career fields at this point that I'd be willing to start over and pay my dues in. I have a passing interest in aeronautics and space flight but think I was born in the wrong century for that.

Left trucking last year, after 42 years as an O/O with my own truck and trailer.Thought I would miss it,but now I'm away from it,I feel great.Realize how crappy trucking has really become, now that I'm on the other side of the fence.Only really miss my old truck.Work in my own shop now on my old cars, tractors, and equipment, and do some cash repairs for others, and have as much of that as I want.Best part now is working at my own pace, and working because I want to,not have to.

Ghetto is a term of endearment in my area, it does not infer an insult in any form or fashion.... @FlexinTarzan I grew up poor, still live in an true urban area, and choose to work with high risk kids in title 1 schools. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge people you don't know?

I taught social studies in a public school system for 13 years. Then, I drove a truck for Prime for 3...now, I'm working on becoming involved in my parish so I can start at the seminary for the priesthood.

@G13Tomcat I think I am going to end up taking a security job at a local gold mine for $25/hr. While doing that I going to work on finishing grad school to obtain my Masters in Divinity to work in the Evangelistic and Apologetic field..
