Isn't Danny Herman a cheap rate carrier still?

Anyways if you're dead set not on money and running lanes are most important you should check out Southeast Carriers.
I almost went with them but ultimately went with Crete when i had 6 months experience.
Don't let the name fool you, they don't do North or East coast.
Long runs mostly all in the south
Pay is only .40 but you'd mostly be in the southern states where you want to be, Texas Cali, Alabama etc.
Only reason i didnt go is Crete offered me more money and with that came lots of Northeast lol.

When i talked to them they required 6 months safe driving and i was approved.
That was oh two years ago or so though.
Might be worth a shot to give them a call.

I spend time with Southeast carriers before I came over to Sni... They lost a lot of major accounts right around the time I left them last year and the biggest problem that I seen over there is everybody in the office is related in some way and there's only 25 people in the office and there's absolutely zero communication

At first then the last 6 months I was lucky to even get 2,000 miles a week... They lost the Michelin account entirely because they couldn't dispatch it right and loads were three and four days late being picked up and at the end of this year they're going to lose Goodman air conditioning out of Fayetteville Tennessee because they're closing the plant up and moving everything to Houston...
