Then I bounced over to AZ to steal some of @Rontonio's freight lol...
Loaded another one of these to take back up to northern AB. Cat 797 rock truck banjo (rear axle).
Legal width, legal height, just 110'L & heavy (not really) about 161,000gross.
Edit to add: The infamous @Rontonio came and picked me up for lunch. It was nice to finally put a face to the other big yellow truck!

Tadano make a nice crane, here's a GR800 I picked up at the port at Baltimore the first day back to work in the new year in 2008. We tore it down on the waters edge it was a miserable day, it was about 15 degrees wind blowing I would hate to work on that dock all winter.

You're a better man than me. That looks like too much work for my lazy ###, more wheels, one shot...

We had to, we picked it up in Baltimore and the most Maryland would give us on the 9 axle was 172,000 I think. The specs said the machine was around 108,000 and I weighed about 60,000 empty so we were concerned about being able to scale it. We decided to send a second truck for a fall off load, so in my normal attempt to get out of dragging the 9 axle I talked them into hauling it on 7. Permits were cheaper, no escort, yada yada yada. So we tore it down. Around home we hauled it dressed.

Ahhh you had a Hillbilly Ripper.... Only has one tooth!

I hauled some fall off from a HD41 once and that machine had a single tooth ripper. The tooth alone was 9' long.

fisher guy and Oxbow Thank this.
