Gotta raise hell with my boss, but before I do, I need some info on exactly how this would have affected me.

I was on the road wroth two coworkers who were drinking beer and smoking weed in the trick while I was driving. If we got stopped or inspected, and they smelled it or saw the beers, even if they weren't mine and I didn't drink or smoke any, what kind of issues would I have had? Basically it was the passengers in the truck that had the beer and were smoking.

And if you can, anything I would have been in trouble for, if you can show the actual law, because I have a feeling I'll end up needing it. Sadly don't have time to look it up myself.

If they didn't claim it everyone goes to jail. On top of those fines tack on dl suspension. The hand of one is the hand of all.

Everyone in the truck would be in trouble. Stop immediately, take the keys, GET OUT OF THE TRUCK, and call the boss.

Sounds like a great place to work. For the employees to even consider doing that says a lot about the company itself.

I highly doubt you need chapter and verse before talking to the boss. Or just take command of your truck and don't allow such things while you are there.

I sure would not risk MY job and future jobs on their stupid choices...

Truck is already stopped. Thanks to loud music blocking the sound of cans opening, I didn't know about the beer until we got back. They were sitting in the sleeper. that's when I found out I really was smelling the weed mixed in with the vape.

My reasoning for needing it is that I'm not doing this anymore, not taking the risk. And might need to still have a job

Yeah? Well how do you know that you'll pass a drug test now that you inhaled the same smoke that came out of their puffing? You'd better HOPE and PRAY you don't get popped with a "random" in the next couple of weeks....

This is all coming up today as soon as I get in. I need to have my ### covered, just in case. Plus there's hopefully a drug test in the near future, gong for a better job. It's unlikely to test positive, bit if my bad luck attacks, I need to have handled this right.

Are you working construction and the passengers don't have CDLs? The only time I have been in a truck with more than one passenger was in truck driving school and the sleeper had the seats installed in the bunk.

    Mtn Gal Thanks this.
