I may have misunderstood what they told me. Just today it came up again and now another driver said you have to be on duty to call it in and that's it. I'm pretty sure the road service coordinator told me if they came out on my 10 i would have to restart the 10 after completion of the repair. I'm still confused to be honest.

Got to report good with the bad. I did some damage to my truck. Delivered to an account much earlier than usual and was worried about cars in there so I walked in first to see if there was room to turn around and there was none. I decided to back in so I turned the truck around up the street aways so I could back in on my non blind side off the street anyways. This went well but about 175 feet in you have to make a 45 degree blind side turn. Worst part I nailed it perfectly on first attempt but it was pouring rain and where I ended up was quite a ways away from the locker so I decided to reposition closer. Dumb thing is my reposition was going to bye me 25 feet closer so really next to nothing considering the distance I had to travel anyways.

So in my reposition I ended up dropping the front right steer tire off the pavement in a culvert. Basically ripped my front right bumper off. Was able to drive it out and don't think I damaged any thing other than bumper. I drove another 300 miles and all is good. No pulling or shaking and even the collision control device is working fine so it's just the front right bumper is missing. To be continued....

Pretty much all the damage is to my truck. I did minimal damage to customers property other than some turf damage, a slight mark in the metal culvert, and the asphalt was a little cracked up maybe from where I came back on or maybe from just normal wear and tear but I'm sure if the property owner wants too they could claim it was from me. No police report so not on my actual driving record but on my JBH record for sure. Guessing this will be on my dac????

So far no real fallout. I worked the following day. I'm still under my 90 day probation period. On reset now and scheduled to go out Monday afternoon. I had a review of the accident with one of my managers but not my account manager yet. He's brand new to the account so not really sure what to expect. Guessing at the least I'll be assigned some safety vids, I doubt/hope not a suspension but don't know for sure.

It's pretty cool how they have handled it so far. I described everything the best I could. We talked about what I did wrong and what I can do in the future to prevent this. No third degree or belittling. I think if this happened at my old job they would have reminded me of it everyday for months.

So now I feel like a tool and my truck makes me look like one. It looks like the bumper system on the FLs consist of 5 or 6 pieces and I just wrecked the passenger side. Doesn't look like any metal damage should be a easy fix whenever it gets in. Think I have a B service scheduled in June

So all Is well since my accident. I got a couple safety vids on close quarters backing assigned to me. Kinda funny thing. I'm training a guy this week so bump in pay , so kinda a promotion in a way. I know we are up against it with how busy it is and they are probly short of options with trainers but they have at least 17 other non trainer drivers they could've ask to do this. I guess other than that accident backing I've demonstrated very little safety infractions. No headway warnings and they've never had to talk to me about anything yet. Remember they are always monitoring your trucks activities.

I'm trying to pass on what I've learned thru my mistakes. New guy can probly drive better than me so pretty much just procedural stuff. I can rest pretty easy in the bunk when I'm not driving. I couldn't imagine how stressful training a rookie out school could be. It's definitely nice doing 32 hour runs in 22 hours. I've been doing a lot more daytime driving than the norm so it's giving me a different perspective of the places I've been quite a few times already.
