    I just finished this thread. Took me a couple of weeks to do so. I've been following TTR casually for over a year now and never thought it necessary to sign up for a profile or respond to anyone's comments.

    However, this particular thread has forever changed that! I've learned a great wealth of valuable information, most of which I have action steps to implement within the next six months.

    I've shared laughs with many of you and feel connected like a family. A good family supports and benefits from each other. With that, I am compelled to come out of the shadows and into the light. I am no longer going to ONLY consume from this site but I intend to contribute as well.

    Many thanks to all who have already freely given of their knowledge and life experiences, may it be generously given back to you and much more.

    Who knew you could be a truck driver and have a positive impact on the lives of people around you? From the looks of this thread that's exactly what I see going on. The standard of excellence on the TTR site along with the integration of information and relationship within this industry has the potential to grow to be a gamechanger in the spiral of seemingly ever increasing regulation and uncertainty!

    Yeah, sorry about that. The forum changed software a year or so ago and it lost the ability to handle tables...

    I just remembered, you created a paper some ago with detention charges and stuff like that. Did you ever have a broker sign that?

    No, I never got anyone to sign it -- I had no leverage as a random 1-truck company...

    USB: +2%
    EDEN: +9%

    vs S&P 500: +1.2%

    Looking through the annual report again, I noticed BNSF railroad charges the equivalent of 60cpm to haul 40,000 lb by rail (I would have thought the gap between truck & rail was much larger)

    Supply and demand: they slowly raised the rates as they relocated more capacity to oil.
