Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

With plenty of time on my hands until Monday morning, been reading through a few of the manuals that came with the truck.

Rather boring but good to do I guess.

 

Don't U just hate it when U can't figure things out and gotta refer to the manual?

 

Oh, and found a few other things that I like about the KW...

I do like having the swing out table... It's a bit handier than converting the bed to a table in the Volovos.... Or using a TV tray for short times.

I do like the leather braided "pull strap" for the Air Horn... The Volvo had the air horn on the steering wheel... And the air horns themselves sound much deeper and assertive than the Volvo.

Still trying ... I will get there... LOL

 

YES... Don't tell my wife that I am actually reading "The Manual"... LOL

 

Oh... And I LOVE that the KW will give a warning beep and start a 60 second count down PRIOR to shutting down the engine during an idle. The Volvo just shut down.

 

My 680 doesn't give any warning before shutting down. The Volvos I had gave a visual warning and one gave an audible warning.

 

Maybe it's a setting on each truck???

 

Its all in the manual, lol. Mums the word, promise not to tell Ur wife!

Welp after my Macon unload,dispatch had me take my empty to a yard in downtown Atlanta[not fun].Shot me back over to the US Express yard,for a load a guys bringing in going to Texas for Monday morning.
