Has any heard of Paramount Freight Systems, Good or Bad? Thinking of leasing on with them. When I looked over their web site and clicked on the logistics link it took me to R&L Carriers.

I've not leased to them or used their logistics arm. They are a subsidiary of R&L out of Wilmington, Ohio here locally. I know a few guys who used them and seemed very happy. I see paramount trucks pulling R&L trailers all the time. I believe they were awarded top carrier to drive for, for the past few years. R&L also owns ABCO out of Tampa Fl.

okay thank you. I have a decision to make here as a owner operator in NY. I have Paramount, Oakley and Landstar all offering me positions. Trying to figure out the best one for me. I'm presently running inter modal and am tired of the wait times in the NJ ports, which will be getting worse once the super freighters start rolling in 2016, not to mention the clientele, but the money is extremely good. Average $3,000.00 to the truck AFTER plates and insurance, fuel depends on the length of hall, $600-$1000 a week. Plus I'm home most nights

Wish you luck, your talking running over the road vs being home during the week. It's a total lifestyle change. I know Paramount advertises home daily lanes sometimes. Good luck.

i think their home daily runs are mainly doubles doing line haul. You will have to have doubles endorsement and hazmat. I talk to them years ago and those the only qualifications that stood out in my mind.

Avoid 'em like the plague!!.....Paramount Freight is a sham company that pays Owner Operators 90 cents per mile to haul corpse-coffins from a company called "The Vault"!!.......corpse-creeps! - CHEAP CREEPS!!.....THESE ARE ACTUAL COFFINS for burial that they throw dead bodies in....the loads are 45,000 pounds super-heavy (I mean DEAD WEIGHT heavy!!) ( "dearly beloved, we're gathered here today".....get the picture??) and they're only paying 90 CPM, and FSC only on load miles!!.....all the drivers I met were severely underpaid, and fed-up with their hate-filled dispatcher "Kathy K" who HATES Owner Operators and is like a corpse herself.......RUN from this graveyard company quick!!
