In the volvo I was flashing everyone to come over trucks cars motorcycles you name it. Even flashed an armadillo over that didn't look too sure of himself.

In the kw I have to put serious thought into deciding if I can be bothered reaching all the way over to the dash.

Does that make me lazy enough to be considered a trucker yet?

 

Ya, like having to turn down all three sun visors to pull the curtain around for your breaks... Volvo simply ran the track for the curtain between the windshield and the visors... No need to touch the visors at all.

Or the curtain between the seats and sleeper birth.... KW has two half curtains that need to be snapped together... (sorry JohnBoy but I'm a bit more shy than you are).... If you don't they gap right in the middle... And then when open you have curtains behind both seats too.

Volvo has one curtain that can slide completely to the left or right freeing up space behind the other seat (always had my TV tray behind my passenger seat... And to close it, just pull it across to the other side... Might be a gap but it's on one side, not in the middle.

I tell you, it's all the little silly things KW does that make me roll my eyes at whoever designed this cab interior.

Left switch first position are "park" lights for tractor. Second position is headlights. Middle switch is top clearance lights for tractor. Right switch is trailer lights.

There is a kw designer reading this thread right now and rubbing his hands with glee at all the mayhem he has caused.

A popsicle stick glued under all 3 switches would make the issue disappear.

For all my complaining i still prefer the smooth quiet ride and comfy seats in the kw and would choose it over the volvo if both were offered

 

So that's why I always see guys with the 680s and no cab lights on with the rest of the lights. I thought KW was having a quality control issue with the wiring or something. The drivers just aren't turning them on lol.

 

Wonders if they sell Popsicles at this TS
