While we slave, you crack me up, yeah because I was tied up and forced to drive a truck...we do get a week of vacation paid each year by the way...

 

We get vacation days. I still have 10 unused.

As for the rest, we're not 9-5ers. You want all that, get an office job. Won't pay near as much though. Had one.

 

Sorry to hear that. A wise person working here told me If I had an important thing happening on a particular day to schedule Hometime for the day or two before. Not much help for you now, but worth bearing in mind. Hope it works out.

 

That sucks, have you asked dispatch if there's anyone you can swap loads with? I helped a driver out weeks ago and gave up a load to get him home, I hate it when shippers do bait and switches, good luck!

 

I'm checked in at Sygma in Ft. Worth for my 10pm appointment. I delivered here once before coming to Magnum and learned that rolling in around 8 or 9 meant parking on the street and midnight or later getting in a door.

Gotta search this thread for the secret parking spots around here. Picking up in Dallas tomorrow afternoon for Mclanes in Concord.

 

Umm.. Because I CHOSE to drive OTR? You can get all that at a union local/regional job. That's not what I do. And the LTL guys DO get those benefits... While making substantially less than we do per year.

 

I understand that #### happens. But if I have to request 10 days in advance or more I shouldn't have to schedule off more days than needed. And I asked to go home on Thursday because I have a Friday morning Dr. appt.
Now I don't know if I will make it or not.
Oh well #### happens.
And my old lady is gonna be pissed.

 

Totally agree. It bit me in the butt last week because I got home 1 1/2 days later than requested. Where do you live?
