Don't assume that because a company is big or has been in business for a long time that it won't ever fail. I could go through a list of them that have over the years. I haul quite a bit for the accounts mentioned, and would really hate to see them gone.

P&G freight is down for all carriers. I live near P&G in Browns Summit. It's a ghost town over there, Tunkhannock is the same.

The TSC account in Massilon OH had a problem with Schneider drivers driving straight through the grass, and I'm talking about driving 50-100 yards through grass.

Workflow even had in all caps "DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE GRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in the notes section.

I was parked overnight there and when i woke up a bunch of purina employees were all outside talking to each other. I asked what's up and they go "Schneider drove through the grass again...." I just shrugged kind of apologized for it and basically said "can't fix stupid".

Schneider was using ICs as basically test run system drivers to impress new customers (see TSC loads). Once Schneider established a foothold they started sending in company trucks to get a dedicated setup in place. Loads available to ICs dropped off sharply.

Then you got the service failures with morons driving over grass pissing off the shipper. So it's not just external companies undercutting people, Schneider was undercutting themselves.

I always took those loads when I could, they were heavy but easy loads

Remember there are camshaft problems with some of the MX-13's, we have replaced 3 engines this year...

The only somebody would go to Landstar then want to come back here is if they couldn't build a relationship with agents (antisocial)... Other than that I've seen some rates lately over from a buddy and they are higher than here.. People can say what they want but the way they're are playing where the load board here is almost making it difficult to make money... I remember I could leave out the house on a Wednesday and still clear 1500 by Monday with no problem.. But that's long gone. And these short loads really suck.. Yea they may pay good and add up but I rather not... Too much in and out for me.. Im trying to hold out until September and leave but the was they are making things for us im not gonna make it

I wish I got a $1 for every customer Schneider's lost and won. In my almost 5 years in Intermodel, we lost P&G lanes every 6 months, ocean spray, Rustoleum, home depot, target, And many more all the time.

I find it funny all this complaining about rates.
My truck blew up on a load 950 miles that paid $1680 but was heavy.
Right before that load I had a 3 load day, a bit above 320 miles or so and about $780 in revenue.
Had a preplan on me for Sunday that was 550 mile that paid $3 a mile, it was light but multistop.
Prior to all that when i went back to work I left my house in TN on a 700 mile load to the midwest that paid $1.50 and was light.
All those loads are no Northeast.

If you're doing bad here it's your own fault.
Yeah times are more difficult than a year ago but all that means for me is staying even more so away from bad areas and more time on the load board. Anything south of TN is a no go for me one example and only reason i go to TN is to go home.
The south is soooo bad right now.

I have noticed there are a lot less P&G loads in general.
Although last weekend there was like 25 loads going to Zanesville. They can keep them though lol
