They way it was done,. no there were not going anywhere. The problem is as you guys have said,.. its too much faith in a single length of chain.

" if your deck has a nail strip. Throw down some 2x4 wedged against the tires and nail to strip.
On both sides. Helps keep them from walking....

Straps are a big no-no for a lot of stuff like that. Lost count of how many railings I've had to straighten on AWP or how many light plant hoods I've fixed because a driver unknowingly used straps to tie down rather than using the tie down points. Personally I'd have chained them in pairs but that's just me. If your method of securement got you there without a problem I say good enough.
