I see you put the knots on the scalemaster side. Maybe he will come out and show you a better way to secure it. Such as using a chain to extend the strap. Tying two straps together with a knot is something a farmer would do. The dot guy in our area would write you an invitation and put you out of service until it was fixed.

2) tying two straps in a knot ? I didn't do that I just tied up the lose strap up so it wouldn't drag. What do you guys do with the extra strap ? Again asking cause I am new to this.
3) It was dark, I should be called back to move this load Saturday morning. I will take better pictures if they call me to move it. It's a giant motor and a hydraulic hammer. The hammer is tall narrow and heavy and, was in a difficult area to get to so I didn't feel comfortable moving it with only two straps in fear of it going over. I just used what I had and went really slow. I wasn't moving it far, if I was I would of had them sign me out and call a truck with the right equipment. -

Cnsper, Good catch on the knots, especially that they are on the scalehouse side!
But I think he just tied up the end piece so it wouldn't be flying in the wind. I don't think he really tied the straps together.Last edited: May 12, 2016

If the darn farmer would keep his slow tractor off the highway we wouldn't pick on him so much lol
