Swift will let you go solo, team only if you want to. Stay a year and your school is paid with weekly deductions. Stay another year and they pay you back for school on weekly reimbursements.

CRE and Swift both have bad reps on this forum. However, as others have noted your experience can be good. My own experience with Swift was good. Left them a year ago after putting in two years.

No matter what company you go with, learn how the office staff does their job, learn about customers and freight availability, and be willing to take any load anywhere at anytime. You'll do fine.

I don't know much about KLLM, but they are out of Jackson,MS, I think. You're from Mississippi, so that should make it easier for you to get home or pass by the house occasionally. It's reefer, but KLLM has faster than average trucks. You won't be puttin' down the road at 63 mph with KLLM.

Who knows. Maybe KLLM might have a dedicated account around MS. Ask the recruiter.

And KLLM has better looking equipment than a lot of starters.

I agree KLLM would be my choice. Team driving for any length of time gets old especially when the pay is horrible; CRE

I don't know about CREngland, but you will find bad reviews of every Co. The main thing IMHO is how much do you owe them in time or money when you're done. You will pay dues one way or the other. I thought about doing CDL training with them at first but decided to go to a local school first and pay directly for training so I wouldn't owe anyone for my license. Maybe you can't afford that and if not at least they give you a job. If the payback isn't too long it will work out. Get an experienced trainer, don't be afraid to speak up for yourself. Good luck.

Nothing is free. You'll pay for school with lower earnings. from what I've read here. That doesn't have to be bad if you need the step up.

I suggest you go with someone that doesn't have a lease program. Remove the poison carrot out of the equation.

Every CR England driver I have come across have been good drivers from what I have seen. They dont do anything stupid. Only knock on CR England I have seen is their lease purchase but that is bad for all companies. Millis is good too and Roehl.
