I have always used a Wilson 1000 mag mount and it has always worked really well and can handle 500+ watts with no problem. Once had to use a lil wil with a stock cobra 29 , in a pinch, and it was decent good for the 200 mile trip I used it on. My next purchase for my F 150 will be the Siro Performer 5000, looks really well made, CB Radio Magazine had a good review on his website, a bit pricey but it looks like its worth it.

hard to beat this
wolverine11 Thanks this. -
You got that right RP, my F150 is 11 years old so I should just do it right and drill a hole and do a permanent roof mount right smack in the middle where the 1000 mag mount currently resides, you cant beat that setup.

Just because of the negativity of posted on some forums or ##### sites, doesn't mean they didn't do a good job.
For some reason we have to read how bad everything is in the radio world other than super tech tuned radios.
AND remember that it isn't the equipment that makes the tech, it is how they use it.
Most likely your radio isn't bad off or in need of anything, things don't change that much with it sitting on the shelf.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -

Connex 4600 Turbo "tuned" by Radioactive Radios...
Test point jumpers CUT off the board (they feed voltage to the driver and final transistors)
Glass diode soldered across C189
Wires soldered all over the back of the board (Volting the final)
AMC VR pot turned a bit back from max to try and compensate for this ####ed up mod.
Absolutely no linearity whatsoever!
Showed big watts on a meter, too it was mostly harmonics and everything was severely overdriven.
darthanubis and EZ Money Thank this. -
It is worth it to me- to get it looked at & re-worked at the expense of the tune-up I paid for
at Radioactive.... I got a bad feeling a couple a years after I bought it & it is worth it to me-
to have someone with the proper equipment to sort it out....Sure, it works & was hardly used-
but for how long would it last, if I used it on a regular schedule? I am only out of the cost of
the original tune-up & his life-time guarantee on the radio went out of the window, when he
closed his business.... I am curious as well & maybe the technician will post a video- to show
any faults in the original tune-up? The original technician put seals on the radio- that would
void the warranty- if someone opens up the radio to look inside.... My question to you- is why
would that be a problem? When, I purchased the radio approx. 10 years ago; I never read or heard one negative thing about Radioactive.... Now, 10 years later , I read my radio is garbage-
It seems that the original super whack packed radio; has few supporters these days....
Does, anyone else have good experience with their radios from Radioactive?. -
Worldwide Dx forum would be the best place to get the most feedback both pro and con regarding Michael Kersnowsi's technical abilities or lack thereof.
I spoke to Michael Kersnowski when his shop was located in Salem Oregon and told him I would be willing to purchase a Magnum S9 from him if he could prove to me he was capable of producing a perfect waveform on an oscilloscope. He declined my offer for obvious reasons. I was 5 minutes from his shop with money in hand. Here is his mugshot
