get s filter kit to draw outside air instead. no more carbon build up
Ozdriver Thanks this. -
I bought the little CAT air filter some time ago but it won't fit because of the angle of the compressor. I could remote mount it but I've already bought the hose and fittings to plumb the compressor into the intake.
-
Just make sure the hose you bought is a strong one . So it won't colapse from the suction.Ozdriver Thanks this.

you also will not have to worry about blowing the 1" hose, cause it will be eliminated.Ozdriver Thanks this.

I put one of those small filters on my compressor. I had to change it frequently as it oil saturated in no time. I don't have any compressor problems that I know of.
Ozdriver Thanks this. -
That's why the check valve is there, so if you run it off the air intake, oil mist won't get in there. From what I heard, when the compressor is on the unloaded cycle they can blow oil mist.bigguns Thanks this.

I change mine every oil change. $5 filter. With the reed valve it keeps the oil mist to a minimum. But you will still get some floating up wind just not as bad. Oz one thing you could do is install a remote air filter for compresser if you don't want to plumb into intake piping.

Too late, I've already bought everything and I'm just about to bolt it all together as we speak. The check valve was$250!Superhauler Thanks this.

@superhauler I thought the the filter wouldn't need to be changed that often. Without knowing the fact of how many cubic feet of air would pass through it, I made an erroneous assumption. Should I expect that little sucker to get oily?
@Ozdriver OUCH
