    @spax

    Pretty Sure that trailer is over 10,000 lbs. gvw, Even if his GCWR is under 26K and it doesn't look like an rv!

    I'm sure the trailer is over 10000 myself too. However having a combined gross over 26k is the fed regarding for a cdl, only certain states require it for pulling a trailer with a gvw over 10k.

    Having owned that same model truck the gvw was 12k. Those could be 7k axles on that trailer only putting his combined right at 26k. However they could be 8k which would put him over, thus needing cdl. I guess we can't really tell just by the pic.

    You'll want a "T-block" in between the bundles, front and back (depending on the length, I like them spaced at 10' for anything flexible). It's a 10" 4x4 nailed to a 10" 2x4 on the bottom in the shape of a "T". Set the 2x4 on the deck with the 4x4 sticking up between the bundles. Shipping these kind of steel bundles without tight blocking in between is just asking for trouble.

    I've not seen them here on the stuff I've hauled but that's a perfect solution.

    Maybe alternating binders from side to side would have been a good idea (in theory).

    It isn't my solution, but its the one I learned and am glad to pass on. The steel mill here provides them pre-made for all the customers that need "vertical blocking" between bundles for the very purpose of unloading with chains.

    No problem. We're all in this together.

  11. @DDlighttruck just some FYI. Post no matter the time or day. Someone is lurking about, could be helpful to your question.

    We'd rather you ask for help then end up on the news, because your load decided it likes someone s highway or worse a car.

    A suggestion
    Start from the first post on here. Download the pictures of the loads you see posted here that will help you. As well as ask questions
