Supposedly he left Schneider due to a divorce and legal issues involving the SFI truck along with it.

I bash ALL mileage contracts, those who follow me know that. The Swifty drivers certainly know lol. I brought up Milan and their low pay as I hate all cheap rate carriers and bash them all. He probably took it the wrong way.
Whatever, i have no problem sharing my numbers but I'm not showing my customers though nope.

If I stayed at Crete I'd be at .50 a mile now and be in a new truck.

    120000 miles at .50 = $60,000
One week paid vacation = $1000
Throw in dentention and extra stop pay = $1000
Thats $62000 estimate and theres drivers there earning more than that.

Compare that $1.20 all miles at 120,000 while leasing a new truck

$144,000 gross, I'll throw in another $2000 for extras like stop pay and detention also
    So $146,000

Say 7.5 mpg at $2.20 a gallon including DEF costs (just a hypothetical).

    Thats about $35000
    Total fixed costs of $1000 a week = $52000

So $87000 in costs so far. Take that from the $146000 and you're left with $59,000

So right there thats less than the company driver not even including paying more in taxes, health insurance and then maintenence.. paying for hotels when broke down etc etc.
That's thousands and thousands of more costs right there.

Thats why I bash these mileage rate carriers.
You could be a company driver at a good carrier, be in a new a new truck and earn more money than someone leasing a new truck and all the hassle that comes be running a truck and being an IC.

Does that makes any sense? I dont think so.
I think its a rip off.. you hear me Swift drivers? lol

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, i just posted numbers to show drivers could earn more being a company driver than fleasing a new truck at the mileage rate at these cheap mileage carriers.
    I think they all suck!

How does it work when you get held over at a shippers? Tanks is actually profitable.

Btw, after sweating profusely for over an hour, the loader finished and then asked me Why I wasn't running the truck to stay cool.:mad::mad:
Because security said I couldn't....... Lesson learned, always ask the loader if it's ok.

FW....you have to remember you are paying for a truck....there is value in that....yes I think the per mile guys get screwed but lets face facts I bet 90% of us IC'S have hauled for less than a buck a mile and at Schneider that includes FSC...sure were doing it to get to better freight... also if a company is paying base plate, insurance etc it might work for some....im just saying once the truck is paid for its gravey...plus maintenance
