    Don't wrap your Thumb! or your fingers for that matter...
    Open palms! or maybe cupped hands is a better description....

    I've watched one of my uncles leave the ignition off on a model T, pull the choke and crank it over maybe a half dozen times then pull it up on the compression stroke, walk back flip the ignition and it'll fire and start from a dead stop!! Crazy.. I was never able to get one to actually start but have unintentionally had them fire a cylinder and make a revolution when working on one, scary!

    Massey Harris Pony,, A great Uncle of mine that drove snow plow for the state had one of those, It pushed a lot a snow over the years, and alotta dirt too. Was his Dozer in the summer months! Amazing what that little tractor would push.
