Heavy load, lots of construction and unscheduled traffic backups. I drove just under 11 hours and only got in 647 miles.

Its more about me not knowing the protocol regarding loads. Don't want to step on anyone toes by asking out of turn.

You are right about that area of training being lacking. The trainer and their manager may have a different way of doing things regarding load planning so anything learned drom them may be if no use when you get your own manager.

Im off to figure out if i got all my training pay as they don't list hours and rate per hour and I upgraded from 2 to 3 to my own truck in one week.

Redtwin as soon as you go to the yard, and get parked go let dispatch know your looking for a load. Most of the drivers you see huddled around the patio, are just whining about the company in some shape or form.

Picked up my load from Sacromento heading to Pa,doesnt deliver till Tuesday which is fine, have hometime scheduled for Thursday.Need to get the truck by Richmond for a pm,before heading home
Ac went out again, and its going to be about 80 where im parking tomorrow ughh.

    Redtwin Thanks this.

Always of benefit... You will likely have several FM during your tenure at any company.

Still in the learning curve... I have been told a few times that one needs to be here for a full year before everything begins to gell.

Always a mix of conversations going on there and yes, at least one is moaning about something. My goal when hitting the yard is to leave the yard as soon as possible... LOL :D
