    I thought I had that site book marked but its not on the laptop. Must be on the desktop.... still haven't bothered to hook it up since the fire.

    this is how to read the tranny numbers I was going to post the ratio chart but it would not paste and it is hard to read but it looks like the split is worth 17% however my tranny has .73 final drive .86 with the split in low I found 10spd depending on set A,B,or C at final of 1.00 .86 , .74 .73 depending on model the .86 has not been made since 01 and never in large numbers as it is a wierd model number


    Example: RTLO-11610B
    FR = Fuller Roadranger
    R = Roadranger
    T = Twin Countershaft
    L = Low-Inertia Concept
    O = Overdrive
    X = Overdrive
    First Digit T = Twin Countershaft
    Second & Third Digits x 100 = Nominal Torque Capacity
    Fourth Digit = Design Level
    Fifth & Sixth Digits 10 = Forward Speeds
    Sixth Digit A = Ratio Set

    I made that very argument. I was posting information that would benefit any OO, but I still got a warning for that. I believe the statement was that the site was for the sale of a software product. So I was considered as advertising.

    Well in any case then post it like this vibratesoftware and you'll be OK then. (I think)

    Then click the 1997-2008 help file ....under reference click transmission gear ratios then choose type of tranny (Eaton, Rockwell.....)

    I am took an hour to find it and I think there ban on links is stupid or at least should not be so cut and dried
    also not big on them censoring post

    That's a function of the programming & it's adjustable in the programming.
    I guess the programmer didn't want you making sudden moves on the accelerator for mpg reasons.
    Perhaps it was also their way of keeping universals in the drive shaft.
    Hard to say what the motive is/was.

    Personally I wouldn't discount a Mack with the E427's & a S10.
    I don't know when they were last made however.

    I liked my CH600 with the standup sleeper very much.
    The engine & tranny never failed me.
    Forget hurting those Mack rears.
    It was a pulling machine for what it was.
    I hung in there with slightly bigger motors that were supposedly "warmed over".

    The thing rode very well & I do compare it to the Volvo 770 of the time.
    I setup the suspension perfectly for a tanker & I could sleep running across LA.
    Only one or two potholes got my attention.

    Only thing I had issues with was the poor insulation in the cab & sleeper.
    The floors & firewall got hot or very cold depending on season.

    I made insulated flooring from custom fitting used rubber mud flaps that I grabbed out of trash piles.
    I matched them up as well as I could thickness wise & of course cleaned them well before cutting & install.
    I cut up some carpet remnants & laid it in over them plus a few "throw rugs" for easy cleaning.

    After that, heat was great & air conditioning had no more trouble.
    Road noise was also reduced considerably.
    The walls needed more insulation but I wasn't going to tear it apart because it was a company truck afterall.

    But, like I said, it would have been icing on the cake to have a 13 speed in it.
    I'm pretty sure I could'a squeezed a little more mpg's out of it compared to the S10.
    Maybe not but hill climbing would have been less strain on it.

    It is all in the ecm used to drive for greydog and the had some that they set so they wouldn't let in much fuel till you got over 45mph they would get to the top of a merge ramp at about 15-20mph just pathetic and unsafe then once over 45 they would run just like they should

    One thing to consider is that not all 13's are true 13's. It is posibble to convert a 9 to a 13 which would still have the final drive of a 9.

    24LP VS 22 talls are almost identical in height so there has to be a real difference in your trans VS his. His 10 is probably a .86 while I would venture to say that yours has a .73 final. That would put you at about 75 -100 RPM below him at 65mph in top gear. Look on the passenger side near the bottom for a trans ID.
