I currently deliver shingles and commercial roofing products locally. The pay isn't great and it can be dangerous at times depending on how steep the roof is. If all your gonna do is ground drops then it should be easy money. I'm only keeping this job till I move out of state for the stable work history lol.
Hauling shingles to residential customers....

Alot of little details make the difference, do they have a minimum daliy drop or is it whatever they have, do you have to return for multiple trips, if yes is it drop and hook for the second trailer, what are thier delivery requirements? On property, or within 20' of the house? Do you have to stay and wait for them to empty the skid? Some companies keep their pallets...

It's a brand new "pop up" account basically meaning they got a 5 year contract on a trail run for a couple trucks,I already work for Jb hunt and have to physically unload my truck right now it's pays decent home on Saturday.
I'm honestly looking at it this way:
I need steady work history on my record.
Gives me a chance to get my hazmat and doubles/triples so I can move into LTL/tankers later on.
I'll learn flatbed which Iv always wanted to do! And a very different type of work vs just dryvan.
Now me knowing it's a Jb hunt DCS account I know it'll be a brand new truck/trailer (so they can impress the new customer)
I know the manager over the account will probably not have a clue and it will be a "do whatever they want you to do" attitude lol -
