I mean if you are operating under a permit you are subject to the weekend and holiday travel restrictions, correct? I know it isn't osow, but it is still a permit, and I don't see anything on their guidelines that makes special exemption for that permit or restricts travel at those times only for some permits.

In most areas OW only is exempt from evening, weekend and metro curfews.

    Different kind of permit.

Its not a permit for loads. Its an annual state permit to travel with 41.5' kingpin to center axle distance so I dont get fined for leaving my spread open. Empty,.. or loaded. Its not the same as an over sized load permit. Its only valid in the state of Fla.

Nope,.. its not done yet. From what I understand,.. they just got the parts from Fontaine. Probably another week or two before I see my trailer again.

Its in Chicago,.. and nothing is paying to come out of Chicago right now. So I have no interest in visiting unless my trailer is ready to be picked up.

I do all kinds of loads. I do not need to utilize 100% of the deck space for me to consider it a good investment. I look at it for when I do need that extra 5ft,.. its better to have when needed than to be saddled with a 48ft and unable to load everything.

Yes I agree,.. can do most everything with a 48. I still prefer the utility and often unneeded length of the 53 step just to have it. Money well spent in my opinion.

I will take your word for it, but you might want to read the regulations, the PDF on the Florida website would seem (to me) to indicate otherwise.

I have a physical copy of the permit. (Required) Florida weigh stations can not scan your DOT# and automatically know if you have the annual or not. (Dumb system). So they can and do still pull me aside to measure me,. and I show them the permit and I am free do go on my way.
