Jim Palmer would be a better pick since he's familiar with screwballs.

I would say Jim Palmer and yes i work for them (for 2 years and I'm a trainer) trained 3 people 2 still with company doing well) one left which was my nephew because he had son and wanted to be local...so I say Jim Palmer over Swift because at least after training you get .40 cents a mile..however training is broken up in stages depending where you start from.if you come from a school with your license you start as a C seat which is 600 guaranteed or miles pay which ever is greater that's for 10,000 miles. Then you go to B1 which is 700 guaranteed or miles which ever is greater as you be running as a team when you start as C seat. The final seat is B2 same pay as B1 accept your last week you go solo and get .40 a mile. However if you get your license thru them the first three weeks is no pay however they don't charge for it either only ask a one year commitment however you don't finish you have to pay the training back prorated from time you end your service which is 3500 for training minus the proration that would be deducted. If have any questions ask me. I will tell you about 70 to 75% of my time has been good not always peaches and cream their will be down weeks and weeks where you may turn in 4300 miles solo and weeks where you may get 1700 miles but average is around 2300to 2600 miles. Trucks are governed at 62 but at least they pay fuel bounus every week which can be an extra 50.00 to 150.00 on top of mileage pay. They do pull prime trailers but not owned by prime but affiliated heavily.

Don't know much bout Prime my cousin work there but quit I seen them leave someone in Wisconsin in the winter with nothing...but some say good things some say bad things..I know you get .40 plus a mile if you take one of those small trucks and .38 if you take full size truck however they are know for trying push you to lease.

Swift can hear your private conversations inside the truck and hear your side of a phone conversation inside the truck.
    Jim Palmer doesn't do this.

    Jim Palmer Trucking
    O&S Trucking
    Wil-Trans

Between Prime & Jim Palmer, I'd go with Jim Palmer.

Honestly I don't know anything about swift just heard really bad things. That being said I'm currently with Jim Palmer. I barely started and got my permit 3 days ago. The instructor and the staff are really nice and knowledge. They push you hard but in a good way but are they're for you to guide you. They are not allowed to pay you due to your not a employee yet but they do give u a 200 a week allowance if you need it. So from my experience with them so far I'm glade I chose Jim Palmer over prime.
