Congrats! Thanks so much for the time and effort you have put into this tread. It is by far the best resource I have found to help me in my quest to become a Walmart driver.

Glad to have helped! This really is a wonderful company to work for. The Wal~mart family is the place to be! I just got done watching the 3 hours of the shareholders meeting this week. 6 thousand associates attended. It really makes you feel good to be part of a family that is making its best efforts to serve us and our customers.WallyWife, noninetofive and TomOfTx Thank this.

I have a public answer and a private answer to that question.

My public answer (for the same reason I'm not using my first and last name as a user name) is: either 21, 26, or 33.
Privately: I'll be happy to answer almost any question you have when we're face to face and our discussion isn't being broadcast over the entire planet. A little bit of privacy never hurts anybody.

Don't take my response the wrong way. It's simply a privacy thing. As you can see by the OP he's still happy after 3 years. I've been here a lot longer and I still am. However, I do understand the feelings of some posting here who have been here a lot longer and their criticisms. As good as this place is it used to be even better. When you're used to a 10 and you lose a notch some get grumpy with the 9 that's left. Of course, if you just came from a 3 that 9 is going to be looking great to you.Last edited: Jun 3, 2016

Well I'm still trying to get in, trust me, I'll be there. I will not give up, I never do. Just wondering about a tattoo policy, if any? I'm not Mike Tyson face tattoo, but have a few on my arms from my younger Harley riding days. I have no problem wearing long sleeves to hide them, to better reflect the company image.
-
No worries about the tattoo's. Lots of people here have them. Not necessary to cover them up unless it doesn't fit with the company image. Good luck with the process. This is still a great place to work.

Agreed. If I remember correctly you'll be starting in Hopkinsville soon. Good luck with it. I know people there. You're going to make a ton of money out of there.
Correction: They say the memory is the first to go... You were TX it was someone else testing in Ky. You'll make good money in TX too.Last edited: Jun 3, 2016
The Gryphon Thanks this. -
For all of you wondering how long the application process takes, we have 5 drivers in limbo right now waiting for background checks. Road tests almost two months ago. I'm supposed to be a mentor, asked GTM when training would begin, so I can schedule some vacation around that time. He said he had no idea and the whole process was frustrating to him as well. Hang in there.

What DC?
