Heads up if you're traveling on SR 14 in the Vancouver/Gorge area. An oil train near Mosier, Oregon has derailed. Oregon DOT has westbound I-84 closed in The Dalles (milepost 87) and eastbound closed at Mosier (milepost 64) near the Hood River. Traffic is being detoured to SR 14 in Washington. Expect extra congestion and plan for delays and if possible delay discretionary trips. There is no estimate for when the situation will be cleared. Pictures are from KOIN.
Top off Thanks this. -

So I've been here 82 days I'm driving a 14 tractor I hear there leasing 17s to new recruits this guy Quentin says he's doesn't know if I can upgrade at my 90 day mark because he doesn't know if he'll have a truck available any suggestions
-
I almost walked on truck selection day. Absolutely furious. Only 2 new ones for 20 hires. Got one with 270k+ miles. "But don't worry, you can upgrade!" Yeah. 90 days...no! 120 days....no! 200 days....no! Over a year in, "OK, buddy, you're numbers up". Yeah, piss-off. I had so much money dumped into it making it right there was no way I was throwing it away.
Now instead of having an almost paid for truck still under warranty I have an almost paid for truck well out of any warranty. My #### paid for the bottom end rebuild and then trans shaft not 2 months after the motor.
Be like stink on siht and get into a new one asap if you intend on completion. Don't be like me and get steamrolled.
If you intend on a perma-lease deal I would highly suggest looking elsewhere as there are much better options.....unless....they finally decide to raise the base CPM rate.
*Health tip* Don't hold your breath.

I have not changed my stance or prior statements. Both good and bad expierences have been previously indicated. The l/p plan at jct is workable and doable and I still have no plans of leaving.
The comments were meant to stress the importance of upgrading into a new truck (if new wasnt initially available) as quickly as possible to insure minimal waste.
Direct and to the point - the jct l/p is a good way to purchase a truck if other avenues are not available. Yes, I still would recommend jct.
