Only one problem with that, you drag someone thru court and a monetary judgement is given to you, what if the defendant(s) file for bankruptcy? Now you're left holding the burden of your own attorneys fees. Brilliant!

I dunno. My personal best is around a 4500 mile week, and I wouldn't want to follow that up with another one. I don't think it's the long shift driving that makes you tired or puts the hurt on you. It's the getting jacked around at the shipper for 5 hours that does it. I know I find myself pissed off, so I'm not gonna sleep. So you do other things get all squared away, talk to some people, eat something you don't need to. Go watch as they finally start loading the truck.
But after your out for a few weeks, even a week, then you can sleep on a dime. Four or five hours at the shipper, PRESTO, good to go, but now you can't go for another 5 hours, and when you can go its the teeth of rush hour. " Can I stay here?" No overnight parking. " Thanks man."
I'm doing this local thing for Punkin on e logs right now. Now I do 5 or 6 stops a day, but i'll bet I have 20 to 30 minutes on duty time just fooling with the QUALCOMM, and i'm lightning fast at it, plus it times out, etc.
I cannot imagine ever in a million years driving OTR with this system. In a truck with max speed of 60 on top of that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got passed by a Prime this afternoon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A F Prime truck pass me !!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope OOIADA wins the suit. The old 99' Pete or Shaker I guess if they don't. But no worries, somebody will figure away to beat the electronic garbage, somebody probably already has, and I really can't see them posting the information on the internet.
I was doing 3200 to 3400 with my super regional, that gave me a 34 at the house on the weekends. Phoenix to SLC back to Flagstaff or Kingman, D/H back to Phoenix ( all paid miles code to code ), D&H go to Denver, 3 stops, reload, back to Phoenix. Leave 3 or 4 AM Monday arrive my house 1PM Saturday, and I would swing by the house during the week before I left for Denver. I don't think I could do this on e log. Passed a level 1 in AZ and a level 2 ( on my birthday ) in UT. Zero issues. Un governed truck. Communication with the office = 10 Minutes Monday morning before I left for SLC, drop logs & BOLs, #### with night time dispatch, down the road.
The other place I leased onto was all paper, dispatch rate con on the phone, a few texts. About the same paper, but it went into a trip pack once a week. That was only like 2800 miles a week, and I made more money, but was out for 2 or 3 weeks. Again I don't think I could pull it off on e-logs, I pulled the same trailer, all live loads & unloads, AND why the F would I sleep in a rest area or in the bushes when their is a Petro 45 minutes or an hour down the road? Two level 2's Texas & Montana, zero issues.
Dunno about all companies, but OTR with Punkin you have to have a screw loose.
Teams it won't effect, gotta get that 34 year old girl friend, I'm 50, and have one, to get a CDL & learn how to wrench on the truck.
You guys watch, everyone's getting in a twist for nothing, there will be ways to beat the system, there always are.
Oh, almost forgot, and that 34 at the house, that was just like going to confession, all my sins from the previous week were abolished. My fuel times were always exact, and so were the DOT inspections, in case of audit, and typically if you have a few inspections, your gonna get picked because they have the reference point.Last edited: Jun 4, 2016

I still think liberty will prevail in the form of rebellion if necessary.fordconvert Thanks this. -
The only person talking about only getting 4 hrs rest is you. I said most know how capable they are, and get the rest when they need it. And why are you acting like you don't know how the real world works, paper is still legal, do you not think these drivers are running just like the old days?Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
