Yea f it if the guys already in it complain like I see on here I'd rather work at Walmart. At least there the only complaint is pay

The Pay is the most difficult.

As a salaried trainer all the stress went away, and my morale and attitude went sky high. 20 miles or 2000 miles or 8000 weekly. Who cared. Let's go. No #####ing.

now the salary stopped after my student was trained and accepted by the company. Shucks. Now it's back to worrying about the miles.

Ive been thinking on that for a long time. I feel there is a way to have ALL drivers settle this mileage problem. Not everyone is going to get thousands of miles per week in and week out.

If a arkansas motor carrier can salary a executive 680,000 dollars when he quit after 18 months very recently, surely they can salary the entire driving work force.

$$ is there just have to be ambitious, and flexible.
Truckers are like a bunch of service men sitting around comparing "war" stories and how bad they got it. Deep down every one of them love what they do.

Yea hats off to you because I've done physically and mentally but to have to deal with either, be expendable, know your career can end because of 1 mistake or just an irate office person putting something false on your Dac AND being away for most of your life smh. You guys got it I'm going to take my chances with low but consistent pay at a job that sucks. I can honestly say reading what experienced truckers have to say completely sucked the wind out of my sails

Good thing Columbus didn't have the wind sucked out of his sails.
Don't let a few whiners hold you down to some dead end job.

Don't let the wind get sucked out of the sails. Learning leads to understanding so that when your battle is joined on the road, you are not going to get caught unaware. I personally can only fight what I see coming if I can. It's the little detail I overlook or a threat I don't see that gets me.

Thanks for the encouragement Chinatown and everyone else I've tried a lot of things in life that didn't work out I'm hoping this is going to be different it's just hearing many of the testimonies here sound just like how I've felt about many of those things. I'll keep trucking just hope I can make something good out of it
