I for one do not think most and I emphasize most drivers are underpaid. Just take a look at AM14's driver seat in his loaner.:D

My wife's a teacher... For going on 26 years now...

She has a Master's, is the only teacher in her school, which is K-12, to teach every single student, (she teaches Spanish) and makes $50k a year....

She works way too hard and the government crap she puts up with is unbelievable...

For comparison I worked 7 months last year and made $89k....

I wouldn't do her job in a million years and I have the utmost respect for her profession.....

    Roll on.

I have great respect for good teachers. Not all teachers, but good teachers. The school I just pulled my kids from paid their teachers about half what your wife makes. Sadly, for the most part, they are overpaid, IMO. Sadly, the good ones wages are held back, when they should be paid based on their performance. I guess, in many ways, their industry is very similar to what we face.

Not only that , teachers more often than not are shelling out for materials unnreimbursed out of pocket. And doing their jobs, oftentimes with both hands tied behind there backs. AT least we can argue we have one hand free.

Some teachers are great and deserve the same respect we give firefighters and police officers. Some are simply horrible. Maybe the teachers union is the problem. Just let the cream rise to the top. Not much different from industry we are in really. I think teachers may have been a bad example but I get what he is saying.

I would say you are the exception. You live in a very favorable location. Me, not so much. I received my teaching license about 10 years ago but chose to go a different direction due to a family situation. Teachers work hard, no doubt about it. But the summer break helps a bit. I would say both careers are underpaid.
