Anyone convert a Pete 388 to a long hood

    Has anyone converted their 388 short hood to a 389 long hood ? If so how much did it cost what was involved ?

    Why not get a 389 in the first place? Just thinking of what's involved, it sounds cost prohibitive.

    You convert it by trading it in to a dealer for the right 389. Gonna be cheaper and easier that way by a lot.

    I've done some need hood , Ac lines, steering shaft , cab mounts depending on your 388 spec, air cleaner piping, clutch rod, a few minor hoses to lengthen and a TON OF TIME AND LABOR AND A GOOD MAG DRILL

    besides the hood I don't see a reason to pay 20k more for a 389.
