I will see how things progress. I was told by my trainers that I will be getting small runs to start with until I prove myself which is understandable.

I am not asking for thousand milers. I am good with the 3-500 mile hops, I would just like them assigned quicker so I don't waste valuable HOS.

Geez! Y'all have been busy typing up a storm. I've been too tired to lift a finger here lately. I need some sleep badly. Left San Bernadino on the 3rd on the way to Chambersburg PA for Wednesday. Loved the extra day and a half on the load because we stopped in Pittsburgh and visited with the old mans aunt and uncle and one of his cousins. Then over to Dayton NJ to pick up and down to Winchester to deliver and a night by the house to drop off the old man and do some running that I needed to do. Back out yesterday and up to W Jefferson OH for delivery. Now on the way from there to Braselton GA to pick up and head back to Richmond. Weird that with all the customers we have in the Columbus OH area that I'm deadheading all the way to ATL, but I'm just the monkey behind the wheel. I don't get paid to think.

Do you have a dry van now?. I was offered BH load last time I delivered to w jeff but couldn't do it as I had a dry van that they wouldn't want.

I got a nice light genpack instead but there must not have been any of those ready for you to take.

Hang in there. They ran me ragged before I begged for a relaxed run. They do seem to feel you out. I ended up getting "forgotten" when my DM left the company. Nobody told me. They just kept me running my wheels off. They would have forgotten my 2nd home time request like they did my first. But I blew up at them, as I'd been out over 40 days straight without a day off. I hope no one else has to go through that.

We stopped in Hurricane Mills, TN for some GREAT vittles at Loretta Lynn's Kitchen. Now at the Pilot ready for some bunk time.

Question: when I start off, my truck shutters as if the clutch is slipping. Is this normal? I think my transmission needs serious attention. Twice since the software glitch, in heavy traffic, the transmission stuck in 2nd and wouldn't shift.

    Release your Air Brakes... :p

Request to be routed by the yard and specify that you are concerned about your transmission. So in three weeks when you drop your tranny your backside is covered.

You might need to make that request a few times.

    Just saying. ;-)

Dropping this trailer just outside of Richmond. I will probably just BT over there on Monday. Last thing I want is to loose the transmission on this thing. I like the KW, but I need a truck that will allow me to do my job. Guess I'll give Bill a hard time when I get there.

@Waggledaddy - this is Abilene thread. Don't think you will find anything on here that would make you leery of the company. Seems excellent to me.

Im just the opposite. I want to run ragged and don't really care when or if I get home time beyond a jury duty thing I have end of Sept.

Im parked on side of road in g'burg MD now. Delivery was 6am and i sent a polite friendly qc asking where I should head next at 6:05.

No reply yet and no-one is answering the phone. Sure hope im not here until business hours tomorrow.
