If you were in the Marine Corps......

"Once a Marine, Alway a Marine", Semper Fi.

This question is for former Marines, retired or not: Comparing the head games that were played on us and with us in the Corps to the games played with truckers, which would you consider to be the worst?

I know from working other jobs before and after my tour of duty that there are games played everywhere and from my personnal experience the games played in the Corps had me prepared for anything that was thrown my way and I could always take it as nothing but a game that they were playing trying to get in my head.

One last question: Who would you recommend working for and who would you not recommend?

Thanks, that was pretty much what I was thinking.

I am looking to do OTR, I don't want to be stuck on one route driving the same road everyday. Also, I figured exactly what you said, get on with a big company, pay my dues, keep my nose clean and move on to something or someone better down the road.

Thanks for taking the time to write. Yeah, still at the stumps. If it's been a while since you were here, believe it or not we are getting a Casino that should be done sometime next year. Also the fifth major hotel is in the process of being built.

I just finished shoveling my yard out of the street and back where it belongs for the second time in three weeks, you know flash flood season. The second one was bad enough that Adobe Rd was closed to base for four days!

Looks like I am going the Swift route. I am not worried about all of the negative things I have heard about them, after all I could have gone in any of the easy services when I made that choice, I didn't though and still got out with my honorable. Enough said on that, if you can put up with all the games, you can put up with anything.

I guess right now the main thing I am looking at is the experience part and worry about the rest later.

I saw the same thing, back when there was the downsizing going on. I was in from 81-87, also the time when there were fewer promotions and re-enlistment bonus's. I knew I would get the straight scoop here!
