I was caught and reported for climbing onto the roof of a dry van trailer to get a cat for another driver. I recently tried applying to WalMart for their private fleet and was denied thanks to this.
I want to know before I start putting in other applications what you guys think. I didn't get hurt, no one was hurt, no trailer was damaged. I worked in Safety at Werner, but I never saw anything like it when I worked there so I really don't know what to make of it severity wise.
How serious is this?

Who caught you and to where/whom was it reported?
-
were you arrested or what?
-
WTF? Did the Nanny police arrest you?
-
A fellow driver caught me, this was at the Waco Tractor Supply DC. It was reported to my company, Walmart found out about it during the approval process of my application so it's on my record some sort of way, though I haven't been able to find it.
I wasn't arrested or cited, but I was called in to safety @ our HQ and put on a sort of probation for it. Any further safety related matters and they'll let me go. It happened a while ago. -
I'd find a new job, one that employs grownups. I take it that you don't work for a flatbed company.
lagbrosdetmi, MACK E-6, Dominick253 and 8 others Thank this. -
wow, just wow, same acehole called it in on you?
like said, find a place were less children play.
now the underlying reasons they could have told you that you might be fired, is that you could have damaged the roof, if it was a fiberglass one, or they can say you climbed up there to break into a trailer, or they can say you climbed up there, to commit suicide .
who knows the actual underlying reasons, but goes to show you, rat finks are all over the place. next time, climb for no cats, dogs, squirrels, donkeys or hookers....well ok, maybe a hooker if she offers you a freebie for saving her life.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
They should be proud that they have a driver that could actually climb up on a trailer. Half the drivers out here can't even climb inside their trailers.

You wake up one day and say what the he** happened.
That's what I asked myself a couple months ago, then I sold out, after 30 years trucking
Climbing on top of a trailer for a cat is an issue? go figure. On the other hand your supposed to get up there and clear the ice and snow off.CaptainDaveG, Tac-Lift, dog-c and 9 others Thank this. -
