Spent a short time at Crete, and seals got cut off of loaded trailers at the yard over in Hutchins Texas often. Same thing, people thinking they were empty.
Not bashing you, cause I have done the same thing a few times. Gotta be really careful though, a missing seal can ruin someone's day.Chinatown Thanks this. -
I'd never take a trailer even with just one pallet or something in it.

SNI Intermodel, it was just a fact of life to have seals broken. You send in a macro with the new seal number and away you go. I found broken seals all the time at the rails, especially CSX 59th.

another consideration is where the op is located and areas of operation. The more conscientious drivers will seek to get it fixed first on their clock rather than dump it for the next guy. sometimes going out of their way vecause its right to do so. quick message into dbl gets the routing point inserted so driver gets paid those miles.91B20H8 and gentleroger Thank this. -
alpha beta and AM14 Thank this.

That's not much of a joke. I've been around here a while, and on the road for quite a little while. I've also seen a trailer come unhitched while the truck was going down the road back in '78. It wasn't funny then either.
alpha beta Thanks this.
