Has nothing to do with axles. It's all about the gvwr of the units. If they made it, you could run a 120k lb 10 axle straight truck and pull a 10k lb gvwr trailer on a pintle hook with a class b. But if that trailer has a gvwr of 10,001 lb you need a class A.

What is real mind boggling is any 80 year old can buy and drive a 50 thousand pound motor coach with absolutely no previous experience or liscence.

Yep. But to be fair they don't weight that much.

My parents had a 45 foot Monaco for 12 years. Went all over the country, every state, Alaska last before they sold it with 140 thousand on it.

You can buy those things for dirt, parents sold theirs for 28000 they paid 140000.
Thing looked like new but it was the last year for no slides ,so it was worth less.

Good quality coach, just got to buy the right one with the right motor.

The Cats had some problems, I think it was the 3116 you want to stay away from, Allison transmissions are bulletproof.

    TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

No, he is saying that if you hook to a trailer with a GVWR of 10,001 pounds or above you need a class A License. With all the axles here, mixer trucks can go 80k and you only need a class B.
