Hey Hoser. Yeah there are lots, lots more that we didn't cover, eh. Like Dan Hill, Anne Murray, and of course Bob and Doug and even that guy that ripped Bob and Doug off.........Mike Myers with the Wayne and Garth act. They should take off eh.

I used to run south of the border and I never had a hard time with any of the border guards. Crossing into or back out of the US. Once had the cab searched at Fort Francis heading south, and the guards north of Laredo TX because the dog supposedly alerted to my truck. Let them look, they found nothing and I was on my way.

If it wasn't for the hours of service in America, and always being routed back into Ontario, I'd go again. It was nice resetting in Texas or Florida. Especially in the middle of winter.

I always approached border guards with a serious attitude. Answering their questions clearly and definitively. I would even repeat what they were asking in my answer. "No guns in the truck", "No drugs in the truck", things like that. Never fidgeted with anything while I was there. I was usually in and out very quickly.

They were even good with a short question I had while I was in line.

I really don't get the adversarial attitude people have about these people doing their jobs. I see those YouTube dummies giving them a hard time and then whining about being taken to task for it. Give them attitude, and they will give it right back. And they have backup. Not saying the OP was this way with them, but in general.

No NorthernMechanic I didn't hear about it but my first thought when I read the headline was "Again?". I saw him at a bar called Illusions in Oshawa circa 1990. He gets real animated on stage. He really gives it his all on some songs like Paradise and Bat out of Hell. I though he was going to pass out that night and he was 30 years younger then.
