And i pull a flatbed everyday now, how is it backwards? The tail is wound up in it, and the handle is on full unlock, based on the direction of the spool its not backwards. Not trying to be a dick but i dont see it being wrong

The part thats out should be in against the guy thats under the strap. How you gonna rachet that tight or loosen it with the handle facing towards the guy under the strap?

The ratchet isn't backwards. He has it sitting in his lap so he could take a picture of it.

Exactly- The way it is in the picture, the handle goes in towards the guy, not the other way.lol

Now THAT explains it! Now I can't unsee the mental image of OP desparately using this forum so he can get out of his jury rigged seat belt so he can go "#2".

I dont see a fragile sticker, someone's gonna over tighten it and crack that freight. Then hes gonna have to sit on the phone with brokers all day trying to unload a damaged gut....

Like I said driver, turn the rachet around and youll be able to get out of it. If you cant turn it around, youll have to cut it?

This tread is why I drive reefers. Too many complications. Just shut the doors and drive.

What are you talking about? Get out of what? He has a ratchet that he cant get unwound so he set it on his lap and took a picture of it. He didn't ratchet himself into the seat with it.
