I had a man whose name I will leave off to preserve his blessed memory.. the truck got away from him on the loose dirt of our lot. The whole thing slammed into the dock lengthwise. He fought it all the way in because there was 20 of us students standing there. (We were doing barrel racing backwards, 4 barrels in a diamond with about two acres worth of lot to do it in. with a old 45 foot van and a KW Cabover)

Anyhow... me and a few others said you hit the dock... there was some profanity and out the window floated the words :I aintahitshite... and thinking back he was right, all he did was line the whole rig up to park neatly at the dock with the whole thing sliding sideways.

That was one stunt I could never duplicate. I feared what the trailer would do when it got loose if the tractor was not also loose.

Was I the only ex trucker to consider there is a Safety's Firing Report dot come somewhere else on the net for suits to whine about people who do not comply?

I haven't heard anything. But my personal experience with them out on the road is they are F dangerous. For awhile it seemed like I avoided a wreck with a Fed Wreck truck on a daily basis because they can't hold a lane. Seems like they always drive to fast for conditions, I always figured they are on a very tight schedule.

All this Fed Ex talk is bad. They earned it.

Remember me to buy insurance in full value on teh stuff I ship with them off the Bay... So I get a few dollars profit.

I remember long ago the first fed ex in Baltimore... used to be a herd of truck spilling out of the gate, down the ramp onto 695, filling all three lanes trying to get ahead of each other. 30 plus fedexs back then. Right about 4 in the morning.

I never dreamed the stampede would evolve into wrecks that you all refer to these days. It's a wonder anything got through to the buyers at all.

That driver should be in Hollywood. He would definitely make more money doing that for action movies.

THAT driver was our Instructor. Old man Adams. He taught God how to use the mountains he made for us all.

I guess he's dead. But he will live forever in my memory for some of the outrageous trucking games he kept inventing to teach us all what's what. I was just a puppy faced with a person like him who had like 50 years experience and #### if I know all... Those I think get fewer as the years go by, it's a loss for the Nation.

One thing I am absolutely sure about is not every driver is held to the same standard. You may have ruffled someone's feathers and not even been aware of it, or you gave the safety manager an opportunity to justify his paycheck.
I have never done real well with people like that, that need to justify their paychecks.
I think any company could fire anyone at anytime for just about anything. I hate my job where I'm at right now, but the love for my Dad over rules that. I've not treated my boss(s) fairly at all, but I can drive, especially this gig, I go to all the hardest places every chance I get, but I've lightened up on them, they actually aren't bad guys at all.

I have seen a few on their sides while on the road. Mostly in Wyoming and Oklahoma but no more than r+l or old dominion. I wonder how they get a bypass at weight stations? An old trooper in Idaho did tell me he handed more tickets to FedEx trucks than any other company while writing my ticket for hazmat violation (overplacarded- you would think it's a good thing. I only added a dangerous placard besides the rest I have on there lol)
