Well after dropping that beam we went back for round two. 83' long and 70 k. Dropped that one this morning and then went and loaded this baby. First time hauling a steel beam and the wind was howling in Livingston. Beam delivers 200 yards from our shop in the morning. Then I need to fix the tail lights on the tractor. 107' long and 56k. Well it looks like I will be hauling one of these every day this week then we go back to haul 7 more 43' beams, back to the steel beams for a week and a half. Then it is back to some 68' concrete beams and once again back to the steel beams until we are done.

They want to load it after 4th of July.

Still moving the steel beams. One every day this week and then again next week. Left at 2:30 this morning and offloaded and done by 1:30.

The other guys are still getting loaded when I am done. They refuse to leave that early. I will be the one that gets an extra beam hauled this week while they only get four hauled because they get back so late they can't get unloaded until morning.

This one is about 36k the others are running 52k. A lot lighter than the concrete beams.

Asked why they did not use concrete beams and they said they would have to be 15' tall to span the same distance.

    Dye Guardian Thanks this.

Kinda looks like it's "in a hole"....
Steep up hill in both directions,, combined with a switchback....

Could it have transferred enough, well, TO MUCH weight?
Basically tried to put the entire load on the stinger and then either shear a or the pins, or tear the eye, or ear???

Looks like a pair of ears with the pin on the ground???

Any of the scenarios Ain't Good!!

Dye Guardian and Ruthless Thank this.
