So for those who run LTL line hail, I know you can run triples from basically the first toll after the skyway through OH. Tonight while driving on RT 2 about 5 miles west of 31 (west of South Bend) I saw an LTL carrier pulling triples. Did IN change the laws and allow triples on state highways or did this drive forget to leave his third pup at the drop lot.
(I know your allowed a certain distance from the toll road to drive to a terminal or drop lot, but this wasn't even close to the toll road, it's 15 miles.)
Ah..... Did the laws change in IN?

That one is news to me. Sounds like someone is playing with fire.
Apparently though, there is a drop lot on SR-13 near MM107 of the toll road.

There better be one. He IS Playing with fire without a drop lot in range. Ima telling you. -
What carrier was it? I know the OD service center has triples in and out and they're off of 31.

I'm not sure I want to call anyone out.
On the screen shot I added there is a road that runs down from Olive that crosses route 2. It was about that area. It wasn't RW/Yellow or old d or Conway or ups.

Many years ago, I actually saw a Conway truck with triples getting off on Thorndale from 290. I couldn't figure out how no one ever caught him. I believe he was headed to the Elgin terminal.

ChicagoJohn Thanks this.

Id say he was just coming from a drop lot? Of course they may have changed the law? Both 2 and 6 across IN and Oh were major truck routes back in the old days. I used to run them to stay off the toll road back before they had Prepass
