Depends on how much you're willing to spend :$

GoPro Hero4 Black is the best. But be ready to shell out $499 for it plus extra for mount and peripherals. But on the plus side, it's not just a dash cam. Can do all sorts with it. Has all the features you mentioned plus a whole lot more.

    I use a Blackvue dr500gw-hd.
It is 1080p, uses micro sd cards on about a four hour loop with a 32 gig card. Uses wifi to my iPhone for viewing or remove the card and put into any Mac or PC computer. It puts the software right on the card so you can view on any computer, includes mapping, gps data, speed and sound. Goes to sleep when parked, but constantly monitors on a five second delay so if something happens, ( like getting hit in a parking lot ) it is able to backup that five seconds, then saves for the next two minutes.

Does both cameras feature the same?

How big is that HD video. Ive a problem with people robbing 10 feet from camera and come through like a pixelated 8 bit video game with no details.

As far as motion or seismic sensor activation I don't believe GoPro has it (motion can be done with a third party sensor) It does the rest. Loops in user chosen time intervals. It'll record in 4K at 30fps if so desired as far as questions for quality go.

However, the money spent was worth it to me since I use it for much more than dedicated dash cam so it was worth it to me. As far as dedicated dash cams go, it may be cheaper to go with other options

Smile, your on the candid camera. Nothing can stop the laywers faster than a dash cam, finally we can turn the tables on the ripoffs.

It would be funny to put a mask on of Charles Manson or Osama Bin Laden and walk in front of the camera.

I have a GoPro with a 64gig disk inside. It records non stop in HD for 14 hours then loops around.

Keep in mind. The dash cam can get you screwed also so practice how to format your drive inside real quick in case you have to.

Ive a thought to forget the 1080 and go with the 4K #### it all. I build computers for a hobby and this one has 4 video cards in it, I can process 4K...

You'd need to swap memory cards for anything continuous even at 124gb.. That video file would be a monstah!
