Well since they canceled the beam for today I got to deliver some 36" pipe to a job site. 12 pieces of pipe at 55k so nearly 4600 pounds each. I did not even need all my axles...:( Did pick up an extra bolt in one of the tires though.

image.jpg My first load board experience. Y'all can laugh, it paid $2 per mile, all miles. Loaded 6 minutes away from the company yard.

Nothing to laugh about. This one picked up at a place I dropped a 336 at in Salt Lake and went to Red Lodge, MT. I think I was at 70k gross on this one and 65k of that is truck and trailer. Hope I did not stress the trailer too much.

Well it's not the kind of street sweeper that they used to use in Chicago!

I used a few more straps on mine. I have some 4 foot long pieces of wood (2x3?) laying around, I think maybe I'll turn them into 4 foot corner boards this weekend and keep them with the truck. Add a little efficiency. Although if I do that I probably won't end up doing another load of shingles for months, lol.

    EDIT:

And the bothersom dirty rims on the lift axle... Problem solved.

How are the ones without a chain through the eye secured against side to side movement?

That's easy. You just tell it "stay, stay. That's my good boy. Who's a good boy? You are. You are." And then you pat it on the head.
