Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Havent ran thru St Louis but they have a terminal in West Memphis so i'm sure hometime wouldn't be a problem.

 

Just wanted some feedback from this thread, I have talked with one Abilene driver who was running a Boars Head load from Chocago to Pontoon Beach, IL. To Richmond,VA. Thanks for the reply, safe travels.

 

Ive been looking into Abilene im from Greensboro North Carolina and from what I've been reading sounds like a good company that keeps yall moving.

So, got up at 5am. Was brushing my teeth when the phone rings. Abilene calling. The wife answers and brings me the phone. As I'm bad with names, I didn't catch this guy's name, but he asked me if I was going to make my delivery in Florida this morning. Stunned, I asked, "What delivery?" He said, "1542, right? You show to be on a load to be delivered this morning in Florida." I said, "Um, my truck is in the yard out of service, needing a new oil pan. Which the shop has the pan, but couldn't fix it this weekend due to a mechanic shortage. I've been at the LA Quinta all weekend."

He said, "Oh..........ok.....someone put you on a run to Florida that you can't possibly make. (Sigh) I love the communication in this company. I'll fix this for you. Sorry for waking you up."

I was helping another Driver from Central Illinois who was interested in Abilene and the recruiter didn't think it would be an issue getting them back for home time. As mentioned, we have the Yard in West Memphis and a few drops in Northern Illinois and the Indy area too.

But please verify that with our recruiters.

 

Got to the AME-R yard this morning to find my truck back in the shop, hood up and up on ramps.

Is there a specific macro or way to log breakdown pay?
