Only ever driven a pete and freightshaker. For me the comparison was the pete was like a Cadillac and the freightshaker like an old barebones ford Taurus. They are just so bland the quality just doesn't compare lol. The kenworths and volvos look amazing too. Theres a reason why all the mega carriers truck of choice is freightshaker lol cheap. The older square nose freightliners are sexy though. I'd take a used volvo or kenworth over a new frieghtliner without blinking an eye. Drove a new auto frieghtliner for a few months at england, hated it. After a few weeks when the "new factor" wears off aka the rain washed away her makeup its still a bland ugly truck imo.

 

Also they seem unreliable. Had them break down on me new and used, middle of nowhere Montana that was fun lol. And if you notice, 9 times outta 10, whatever company, when you see a truck on the side of road, triangles out, its a freightshaker

 

All trucks have issues for sure. I've seen other brand new trucks break down also. Machines break down. I'm sure everyone has personal preferences. The big carriers that mostly buy freightliners do so because of cost and anyone can work on them. Volvo, in my experience has to go to the dealer in situations. But we're mostly KW and Volvo here. All trucks are auto also. In my time here, I've never broke down where I had to be towed.

 

Speaks to the quality of the company. At england their mechanics only good at changing tires. No lie your truck will come out worse than when it went it. Future owner ops never ever ever buy a truck from England no matter how good the deal is lol

 

They just happened to have a couple of options when he was ready for his truck. Right place at the right time.

 

Welp gotta throw out the teaming at us xpress they accepted me but my brother in law got rejected and I refuse to work there as a solo. About to give rusty a call now. Also just applied to shaffer. Just itching to get back out there but want fair pay.no more 300-600 a week checks grrr england

Just talked to him. Filled out app a week ago, as soon as I introduced myself he said approved when do I want to start. Sent info for me to get physical, giving my current employer 2 week notice, will be at orientation on the 13th. Looks like I'll be joining you guys

 

Very good. Pretty much the same for me. Waiting for the physical info to arrive via email (although I looked it up and have the number and address already). Doing that Thursday and then orientation for the 6th. Kind of funny, I actually have 2 medical cards less than 1 year old but I guess we have to use the Concentra place for their insurance company. Fine with me.

Next thing I have to do is find a motel close to them. I'll be driving down and probably a couple days early.
