@Chinatown has been an AWESOME resource for many here on TTR... He pointed me here too.

 

I consider 5200 a great pay period. I get 2000 to 2500 a week. Which is ok for me. 2250 a week is really my magic number. Anything over that is gravy.

 

Bonus points for gesticulating like a madman?

Leave the truck in Richmond and rent a car. Thats what I do.

Enterprise is 3 miles away and will pick you up and drop you off at yard.

 

Definately runner up Abilene "employee" of the year.

 

The last thing I want to do is drive 800+ miles just to get home after a grueling two or three weeks of trucking. How often do you do that? Swift has a terminal in Ocala and Knight has one in Lakeland. I'll check them out.

 

There is a truck stop on Highway 301/I-4 just east of Tampa that I know you can park at for a fee. I guess I could do that. How often do you get home to Florida?
